I love mornings and I love breakfast but I HATE waking up early. So quick, easy breakfast is key. My grandma taught me how to make egg-in-a-hole when I was like 7 and it’s been a solid fallback ever since. It really doesn’t even need a recipe but I’m giving you one anyway!!
Melt some butter in a skillet over medium heat. Tear a circle out of the middle of a slice of bread (but save it!). Place the bread in the pan, and crack an egg into the hole. It’ll start to sizzle and pop, that’s fine but watch your arms! After a few (2-3) minutes, gently flip it over so you don’t break the yolk. Then I turn the heat up so the bread gets toasty but the yolk stays runny, and cook it for another minute or two on this side. Move it to a plate, generously sprinkle with salt and pep, give it a lil drizzle of sriracha if you’re feeling spicy, and THATS IT!
